I set this website up, because as a new Beekeeper I struggled to find what I was after. Every Bee website I went to, had links to a few really good websites but non had links to all, so here I have tried to put them all in one place! Currently the WA Apiarists Society has over one hundred members, the majority being hobbyists who meet to learn, share and promote the craft of beekeeping. Formed in 1953 the Society, has been continuously guided by a committee of volunteers under whom membership numbers have steadily increased. We are the second oldest Beekeeping Association in Western Australia and the local Association with the largest membership. We have a library of beekeeping books and references about WAAS. Meetings are held monthly. Expert guest speakers and in-the-field practical sessions are a feature. Benefits includes discounts at bee equipment suppliers; sharing information; updates on State, National and International beekeeping research and technology.
