Hopefully, it won't be long before we can start regular hive inspection and with that we will be starting our beginners practical courses. We offer both extended courses over ten weeks and a one off 'taster day' for thoses who are not yet convinced that beekeeping is for them! Both take place in our well equiped and up to date apiary with calm, well tempered bees that are fun to work with.Both are essentially practical courses with hands on experience with colonies in a number of different hive styles and sizes. We provide protective jackets and veils for all thoses who need them and our tutors are very experienced beekeepers with teaching qualifications. Courses have limited numbers so that group sizes are small enough to provide individual learning experiences.
