Apart from knowing we started from a tiny breakaway faction that left the Derbyshire B.K.A in 1945 just after the end of World War 2 almost 70 years ago. I have not got much more information for many of the years since then. There are a lot of years in between then and now that didn't have any form of newsletter for me to look at and, are therefore still blank and I must rely on peoples memories to give me the required information.
Today we as an association are growing year on year and are considered by other BKA's to be very successful, but there must have been times when things were tough and needed dedication to keep the cart on its wheels. I know that at one time when the Chesterfield Association was very small and a Mr Ellis many years ago ( time period unknown) once had to play the part of Chairman, Secretary and almost every other post. I am informed that a Mr M Roper ( Still a valued member) , Mr Brian Cantrill and his wife, played a formative role around the same period.Phone: 07792 446424
